This Etsy Shop saved me from the depths of the office abyss, and for that I'll be forever grateful.

In 2008 I was two years out of college and drowning in the 9-5. Believe it or not, I liked my day job! But there was something decidedly missing. A friend and I took a jewelry making class at a local bead shop and within months my hobby became a business and a desperately needed form of creative expression.

Browsing an outdoor flea market or vintage shop is my absolute favorite weekend activity, and I think you can see vintage inspiration reflected in my designs. I also love to incorporate vintage materials in my own work - so almost all of the pieces in my shop include at some repurposed materials.

These days I'm lawyering by day and jeweling by night. {Etsy actually helped me pay the bills during law school.} And even though life gets busy, I love spending the day vending at an outdoor market, or partnering with local boutiques. Now that I'm getting settled down in the city of brotherly love, I look forward to getting my hands dirty with Philly's crafting and design community. Craft shows and boutiques - I'm looking at you.
